1. Introduction

Clutch (“we”, “us”) provides a web service for match predictions, leagues, and related features (the “Service”), operated at https://app-stg.clutchpredicts.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Information we collect

  • Account data: when you create an account, we process information you provide, such as username, email address, and (if you use email/password) authentication data handled securely by our systems.
  • Sign-in with Google: if you choose “Continue with Google”, we receive and process the information that Google’s sign-in makes available to us (commonly your Google account ID, email, and basic profile information), as permitted by your Google account settings and Google’s services.
  • Service usage: information about how you use the Service, such as leagues joined, predictions made, and interactions needed to run leaderboards, scoring, and collaboration features.
  • Technical data: such as device/browser type, IP address, and similar data collected automatically for security, fraud prevention, and reliability (e.g. logs, diagnostics, performance).
  • Communications: if you contact support, we process the content of your message and contact details to respond to you.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • create and manage accounts and sessions;
  • provide, operate, and improve the Service and its features;
  • authenticate users and protect accounts (including sign-in and session security);
  • communicate with you about the Service (e.g. support, important notices);
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms; and
  • detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.

4. Legal bases (where applicable)

Depending on where you live, we may process personal data where we have a legitimate interest in running and improving the Service, where necessary to perform a contract with you, where you have given consent (where required), and/or to comply with legal obligations. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you may have additional rights described in Section 8.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies as needed to keep you signed in, protect the Service, and understand basic usage. You can control browser cookies through your device settings, but some features may not work without essential cookies.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

  • with service providers (e.g. hosting, infrastructure) who help us operate the Service under appropriate safeguards;
  • with authentication providers (e.g. Google) to the extent required to complete sign-in you initiate;
  • if you participate in leagues, limited account information (such as username) may be visible to other users as part of normal product features;
  • if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transaction (e.g. merger) subject to safeguards.

7. Data retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, meet legal requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion as described in Section 8, subject to applicable exceptions.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, and to object to or limit certain processing. You can contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your request. You can also use Google’s account tools to manage permissions for apps connected to your Google account.

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA; contact us to exercise them.

9. International transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal data.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
